Beyond the ordinary
Hit and Miss formed in mid 2023 by Marco Dixon, Bob Mello and Jerry Johnson. Marco approached Brian Balak about playing guitars, although he had taken a step back from live music. Brian suggested to Marco that after playing 90's-current rock for 5 years that if we did this, it would have to center around 80's Hair Metal! Marco and Brian are no strangers to each other creating a few very popular bands ASAP, 5 Simple Fools "The Fools", Suite 13 and Driving Miss Crazy. Brian and Marco musically make sense they naturally know where each other is going. Their chemistry is off the charts, and Jerry was no different and fell right in to that fold, his bass playing and high energy performance style were a perfect match.
As a 4 piece they began playing shows, after a very successful debut, Jerry had an accident breaking his hip putting him on the sidelines.Hit and Miss used a local bass player as not to have to cancel shows while Jerry healed. During that time we picked up Mike Wright on Rythm guitars. A solid rhythm player with the ability to belt out leads here and there. Finally after 4 months Jerry returned. Unfortunately Bob Mello had to step back do to career obligations.Enter Joe Smith
Since then they haven't looked back! Headlining and packing all of the local venues Whiskey Roadhouse, Cottonwood cove, Bside, Cappy's Hot spot,Therapy, Philly's are just a few. We are perfect for street dances, large Venues and we are right at home in more intimate smaller bars as well. We bring top notch musicianship, Spot on vocals, professionalism and a true high energy performance and atmosphere. Your customers will talk about for moths!

47 years old.I am a late bloomer not realizing until 2003 that I was an entertainer and had an above average voice.i was encouraged to pursue music ,so here I am!Being from the small town of Red Oak Iowa I am rooted in country music, but it wasn’t until a decade ago I realized my vocal range and raspy voice made me perfect for Rock And Roll! my previous projects are Sinner/n30, Dirty Micheal and the boys, Influence, and Whiskey Business. When I'm not rocking the stage with these knuckle heads I am passionate about biking and working on motorcycles!
Brian Balak
53 years old, originally from Orange County California
i grew up in Omaha Ne. My oldest brother was a budding guitarist who worked in mid 70’s through mid 80’S California music scene . He introduced me to the music of Ace Frehley, Randy Rhodes,EVH and many more! I began my musical journey at the age of 10, Although I played in many garage bands it wasn't until the age of 18 I got into my first real band MaDD Hatter. I toured extensively playing many festivals, amphitheaters and mid sized arenas. At the age of 21 I applied and was accepted to attend The Atlanta Institute of Music. after Graduating in 1996 I have been in many bands all over the United States; Zero Tolerance, 8 Cents Total,ASAP, Vital Signs, 5 Simple Fools,Suite 13,Driving Miss Crazy and now Hit and Miss. I am a big outdoors guy, and am passionate about our canine friends!
Marco Dixon
I am 63 years old, I began playing at the age of 12.Drummers such as Peter Criss, Eric Carr,Tommy Lee, Mick Brown and James Kottack drove my passion and desire to learn and perform. Gifted with never miss tempo, thunderous fills and a great voice, I have been in Mr Sinister, ASAP, 5 Simple Fools, Driving Miss Crazy, Down and Dirty,Suite 13, Haus of Chains and now Hit and Miss!
Jerry Johnson,
57 years old, i began playing at the age of 16 . I am Omaha-based Bassist. With a rock-solid groove and a dynamic performance style I fill venues with tones and energy.Holding down the bass groove in anything Rock and Roll,Metal and a pinch of blues alternative. I bring melodic basslines, a head full of lustrous hair, and vocals to the stage. I have rocked in more recent bands; Mr Struggles, Streamline, Drinkin Money, Lucky Seven, and Down and Dirty.
